San Carlos Cathedral

San Carlos Cathedral, also know as the Royal Presidio Chapel, is the oldest church in continuous use in California, and the smallest cathedral in the United States. Completed in 1794, this National Historic Landmark was extensively restored in 2009.

In keeping with geometric motifs discovered during the archeological research, we designed a brilliant- cut glass screen which subtly veils the tabernacle when the church is open to tourists and visitors.
