The Sisters chose themes especially significant to their monastic life. After discussions with them and with Brother Bill Short OFM, of the Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA, Susan began to design the eight windows for the public chapel. Four of the major Franciscan saints anchor the end of each wall, with the center windows representing the theology and guiding principals of the Colettine Poor Clares.

The windows combine handmade stained glass with painted details and insets of special kiln-worked elements.
